چکیده
This is a textbook for Health Visitor students and is intended to cover the new syllabus of the Royal Sanitary Institute. The author makes it quite clear that she is not attempting to deal with subjects on which specialist books arc available, but merely to give students a reference book to help them in their work. The various social services arc described and much of the book is taken up with legislation concerning children and adults. Part I deals with the work of the Health Visitor, Part II with the social services and their administration and at the end of most chapters is a list of suitable books to be read.
